Today’s journey was uneventful and scenic. Lots of marinas mangroves, and beautiful yachts. Tomorrow’s assignment – exploring nearby beaches for fossilized shark teeth and seashells! Day 42 (2/18/26) – Layover in Sarasota, Florida
We’ve really enjoyed our three day stay in Sarasota – Marina Jack is a very modern marina conveniently located downtown on Sarasota Bay. The weather has been perfect! Day 40 (2/16/26) – St. Petersburg Municipal Marina to Marina Jack Yacht Basin (Sarasota)
We arrived safely in Sarasota this evening. Tampa Bay was a bit windy and rolly, but once we got behind Ana Maria Island, conditions quickly improved. We’re eager to explore the downtown area tomorrow – The Ringling Museum is on the list, plus some minor provisioning! Until tomorrow – sweet dreams!

Day 39 (2/15/26) – Layover in St. Petersburg, Florida
We’ve had a lovely layover in St. Petersburg, Florida! The weather could not have been more perfect – it’s been a lovely respite after a frigid couple of weeks in Apalachicola. Day 34 (2/10/26) – Layover at Clearwater Harbor Marina
Today we explored Dunedin on our bikes via the Pinellas Trails. We had a lovely lunch at Cafe Alfresco and toured the local museum and book shop.
