We had an early departure this morning from Daytona Beach. The Saint Augustine Municipal Marina is well known among Loopers for its strong currents and difficult docking. This is mainly due to proximity to the Saint Augustine Inlet directly to the north.

To counteract this, we timed our trip to arrive during “slack tide” when currents are still, if only for a short while. With the help of an excellent dock hand, we had an uneventful docking event.
We plan to spend a couple of days in Saint Augustine exploring the Historical District. Until next time – sweet dreams!
