Follow our travel adventures aboard M/V Biscuit, a 1989 42 Grand Banks Classic Trawler, Hull #1081.

Day 61 (6/22/26) – Key Biscayne Yacht Club to Bahia Mar Marina (Ft. Lauderdale)

Downtown Miami. We couldn’t believe the amount of hotel and condo construction in progress.
There must have been a dozen cruise ships at the Port of Miami. We tried to access open the Atlantic through this channel and were turned around by the harbor police. Luckily there was another cut nearby.
Big, fine yachts were everywhere.
What animal do you see in the clouds to the left?

Another open water day, this time in the Atlantic!! It was a much better experience than the previous open water leg in the Gulf. Calm winds and gentle swells were the theme for the day. The water was much deeper with a beautiful blue hue. We’ll be here a few days resting and provisioning. Until next time – sweet dreams!

      Donna – I thought it looked like a mako shark! Its snout is pointing to the right of the photo and its mouth is open. Take another look!

        Got it, we were looking in the opposite direction. Roger said, you have been on the water too long or exposed to Rob. Your hallucinating. 😆
