Day 56 (6/17/26) – Gulf Harbour Marina to Marco Island Yacht Club

Gulf Harbour Marina in Fort Myers. We really enjoyed our time here.
Lighthouse Beach, Sanibel Island.
Our view from the fly bridge.
Just our luck – it was Lobster Night at the Marco Island Yacht Club! We ate like royalty.
Doesn’t get any better than this!
MIYC was very nice! We got a convenient t-head dock and a lovely dinner.

We’re baaaaaaack! After 3 months of traveling (including 5 weeks in Australia), family visits, house hurricane prep, and boat repairs, we’re back on the Biscuit with a slight change of plans. Due to low water levels in Lake Okeechobee, we’re taking the scenic route through the middle and upper Florida Keys to access the East Coast. This will add time to our trip, but we get to enjoy these beautiful Florida waters a little bit longer. Tomorrow is a long haul to Marathon Key – around 11 hours at our optimal cruising speed of about 10 mph.

Until next time – sweet dreams!
